The Allegany County Department of Health (ACDOH) is sad to report to our residents and community that there has been one additional COVID-19 related death bringing our local total to 69. This death, a male age 95, was due to complications or a consequence of COVID-19. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, and we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time.

It is imperative that Allegany County residents continue to wear a mask, follow social/physical distancing protocols when possible, wash your hands often to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, limit social gatherings to small intimate groups if possible,  and GET VACCINATED.  We have the highest case rate in New York State at this point in time so it is imperative that if you are sick or feeling ill that you stay home.  If you are looking for testing locations, please visit our website for free rapid testing clinics on Monday and Wednesday each week through December 2021.  We ask the public to consider getting vaccinated in order to protect our school districts, hospitals, businesses, and communities.  If you have any questions about any of the COVID-19 vaccines, please contact our office at the number below.
