THIS FALL —- The 136th New York Volunteer Infantry is back in Angelica for it’s 16th year of Civil War Reenactment !
This year the focus will be 1864.
Reenactors from across the region make camp right on Main Street where they’ll eat, sleep & breath Civil War-era life. Dressed in period attire, they’ll battle blue against grey complete with cannons & muskets. The boy scouts will observe several skirmish reenactments & then participate in a mock battle of their own, using imitation muskets & gaining valuable insights into Civil War life.
The Angelica Village setting, with it’s 1800’s architecture, wide streets, and it’s historic integrity is very much suited for the portrayal of 1864 Civil War life. Angelica is one of the few places where you can experience the battles, up close, on Main Street..
There will be plenty of Food, Music and entertainment to keep the whole family engaged.
The Daily Schedule and more info will be updated soon and found here: http://www.136thny.com
