Allegany County history lovers and
local leaders aim to acquaint more people
with how much the history of our county
has by hosting our fourth annual LOCAL
HISTORY AWARENESS WEEK. This year’s
theme is Allegany County’s People, Places
Many organizations within the county have
worked together to exhibit the artifacts
from our county.
For the past three years, school districts,
college students, and residents have viewed
and appreciated our displays and programs.
Local historical societies have provided
their knowledge and artifacts that illustrate
Allegany County’s contributions and role in
deﬁning these eras of American History.
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Allegany County’s Agriculture Program is excited to announce the 6th Annual Allegany County Farmer Neighbor Dinner to be held Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the Lake Lodge located at 6107 Terbury Road in Alfred Station. The evening hosted by: CCE of Allegany County; Soil & Water Conservation District; Natural Resource Conservation Service; Farm Service Agency; & Farm Bureau will begin at 5:30 pm with Hors d’oeuvre, Cash Bar and Agricultural Business Exhibits. A great opportunity to browse while engaging with members of the farming community.
