The Great Wellsville Balloon Rally

Don’t miss the awe inspiring sight when more than 35 Hot Air Balloons take flight from Island Park and fill the sky in a delightful rainbow of color, while gracefully floating over The Genesee River and the beautiful green hills and fields of Wellsville and the surrounding communities.
Enjoy four launches – Friday Evening at 6:00 PM, Saturday at 6:00 AM, Saturday evening at 6:00 PM and Sunday at 6:00 AM. Bring your lawn chairs, bring your camera, bring the kids and Grandma & Grandpa! It’s an amazing adventure for the whole family!

North East 24 Hour Challenge

Welcome dirt bike enthusiasts!

The race will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday with a staggered start as each division in the event will be released in 60-second intervals.

From there, the race will continue for 24 hours until winners (measured by laps completed) are crowned.

Jake Dennis of Arcadia Bark Busters came up with the idea for the event after competing in the 2012 24 Hour Challenge at Perry Mountain Motorcycle Club in Maplesville, Ala.

The Alfred Farmers Market

Come Visit the Alfred Farmers Market! The Alfred Farmer’s Market is located at the Alfred Village Bandstand on the corner of Main and Saxon Drive. Market days are every Sunday from 11am-3pm from June 16 to October 27th. Meet your friends, neighbors and farmers and enjoy the bounty of the season.  Enjoy live music, seasonal recipes, artists raffle, and fun activities. Fresh produce, fruit, maple syrup, eggs, cheese, meat, and gourmet baked goods will be ready for purchase. Market customers can also browse through wool products, dog treats, pet items, and artisan crafts. For food items, the market can accept SNAP/EBT, WIC checks and FMNP (Farmers Market Nutrition Program) senior checks. Cash of course is welcome and many vendors accept credit cards and personal checks.
