Allegany County DMV
OPERATIONS DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Beginning April 1, 2020, the County Clerk’s Office and DMV will be staffed at reduced hours 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday through Friday. There will be no face-to-face transactions, and the Allegany County Courthouse and County Office Building will be limiting public access until further notice.
All Department of Motor Vehicle transactions must be conducted online or by mail. All current appointments are cancelled. Please consider mailing your renewals to the Allegany County DMV, PO Box 242, 7 Court Street, Belmont, NY 14813 so the county can recover some of the revenue associated with these transactions. DMV employees will be available for telephone questions during business hours at (585) 268-9267.
The County Clerk’s Office will accept mail-in transactions only. However, non-essential court filings will not be accepted, until further notice.
