The Allegany County Industrial Development Agency (ACIDA) will host a presentation January 27, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Cross Roads Center in Belmont regarding the overall plan for the Crossroads Development at the exit off Interstate 86. The purpose of the meeting is to have local public officials, businesses and residents to review the plan and have input into the overall process. The Crossroads Development is a multi-million-dollar project planned to include a nationally branded upscale hotel and conference center, nationally branded upscale full service restaurant and nationally branded upscale fueling station. The project will serve Allegany County colleges, businesses, and visitors along Interstate 86 at the Belmont exit.
The developers are the Rochester-based Hemisphere Management LLC and Novat Corp. LLC who will present their overall master plan for the site at the January 27 meeting. The developers previously met with the Amity town board in December 2017 for an update on the project. The site consists of approximately 32 acres and is the location of a previously operated truck stop at the intersection of State Route 19 and County Route 20.
The developer anticipates that construction will begin in 2018, at a cost of approximately $15 million, and will provide 50 permanent full-time and part-time jobs. Early designs call for a 90 room hotel, with 5,000 square feet in conference space, and a 3,500-square-foot restaurant.
