Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 10:03 a.m.
by Public Safety Committee Chairman Dwight “Mike” Healy.
Attorney/Client
Session
A
motion was made by Legislator Hopkins, seconded by Legislator Healy and carried
to enter into attorney/client session at 10:04 a.m. (Voting No: D. Burdick).
Immediately following discussion at 10:30 a.m., a motion was made by
Legislator Hopkins, seconded by Legislator Healy and carried to end the
attorney/client session and return to the regular meeting.

Correction
Officer Position
Mr.
Margeson also requested a resolution on behalf of Sheriff Whitney creating a
position of Correction Officer (Council 82, Local 3989). It was noted that the request to fill this
position should be referred to the Ways & Means Committee. The request was approved on a motion by
Legislator Healy, seconded by Legislator Hopkins and carried. (Voting No:
D. Burdick) Prepare Resolution to Come off
the Floor at the November 28 Board Meeting, Refer to Ways & Means for
Filling of Position Contingent on Passage of Resolution
Adjournment:
There being no
further business to come before the committee, the meeting was adjourned at approximately
10:31 a.m. following a motion made by Legislator Hopkins, seconded by Legislator
Benson and carried.
