HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE

 Present:  D. Burdick, F. Sinclair, D. Cady, K. LaForge, C. Crandall

 

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Burdick at 3:15 p.m.  On a motion of D. Cady, seconded by K. LaForge and carried, the committee went into executive session to discuss the potential promotion of a particular person.  On a motion of D. Cady, seconded by K. LaForge, the committee vacated executive session.

 

A motion was made by F. Sinclair, seconded by D. Cady and carried unanimously to request that the County Attorney prepare a resolution to appoint Vicki L. Grant of Houghton, New York to the position of Commissioner of the Allegany County Department of Social Services for a term of office prescribed by law to be effective on January 3, 2011 at a starting salary of $70,000 per annum.  PREPARE RESOLUTION

 

The committee requests the resolution be prepared for consideration by the Board of Legislators on January 3, 2011.
