Members on this board represent a variety of disciplines and backgrounds including Secondary and College Education, Transportation, Industry, Agriculture, Food, and Health to name a few. Members include:

Currently the County Planning Board has 1 opening: District 2; If you are interested in being considered please send a Letter of Interest with a short biography and include any Planning background you may have. No County Legislator may be considered for the County Planning Board per NYS Law. The Planning Board will consider all submissions and will refer to the Chairman of the Legislature. You may be asked to come to a regular meeting of the County Planning Board prior to your nomination.

Referrals:

Towns and Villages, etc are requested to get their application/referrals to the board at least 10 business days prior to the next monthly meeting. Referrals are requested to use the Referral Form here;

Please send a digital version [PDF] of the referral to dirlamhk@alleganyco.com or deliver a CD with this paperwork on it [6087 NYS Route 19N, Belmont, NY 14813]. The Board consists of 11 members and one County Planning Staff so we need 12 paper copies of any referrals. If the package is particularly large please call Kier Dirlam at 585-268-7472 to discuss prior to your making copies as we may be able to make some arrangements.


 

Meetings

The Allegany County Planning Board meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm to discuss local planning issues and review SEQR, Zoning and other application and amendments referred by local planning boards. The ACPB meets at the Crossroads Commerce and Conference Center on NYS Route 19 just north of Exit 30 from I-86.

Upcoming meetings

Generally the Allegany County Planning Board does not meet in July or August unless there are referrals that require attention.
