The
Allegany County Department of Public Works is responsible for the
administration, construction and maintenance of County owned roads, bridges,
vehicles, facilities and the solid waste system. It is the objective of the
department to provide the traveling public with a safe, convenient and
efficient network of roads and bridges, to manage an efficient solid waste
system and utilize the department’s resources to the best advantage of the
county as a whole.
